The eight-week, paid internship offers hands-on experience for 2026 high school graduates entering college and current college or trade school students. Interns gain real-world exposure to the dynamic port industry while working alongside professionals in departments such as Communications, Engineering, IT, Port Operations, Finance, and more. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, participants also learn how the Port of Palm Beach supports our local community and drives global trade.
Eligible applicants must be Palm Beach County resident, have graduated from a Palm Beach County high school, or currently enrolled in a trade school, college, or university located in Palm Beach County. Space is limited, and required materials must be submitted by April 19, 2026.
The Port of Palm Beach Summer Internship Program is an award-winning initiative recognized by the American Association of Port Authorities for excellence in administrative practices. The program is primarily funded by several tenants. So far this year, our sponsors are Tropial Shipping, South Florida Materials, Ozinga, E.N. Bisso & Son, Inc. and SSI Petroleum.
