I certify that my answers are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand I am applying for a paid summer internship program scheduled to run from June 8, 2026 through July 31, 2026 and will be available to work 32.5 hours per week during the entire length of the internship. I understand interns may participate in the Direct Deposit Program and will be covered under Worker’s Compensation for any job-related injuries; however, no other benefits are provided to intern program participants.
The Port of Palm Beach District is governed by Florida Statute 311.12 which requires a criminal background check, finger printing, verification of application information, reference checks, and completion of a drug and alcohol screening. All job offers are conditioned on a satisfactory background check and drug and alcohol screening.
If accepted into the summer intern program, I understand I must go through the Port’s applicant process that may include a drug and/or alcohol test, background/reference check, fingerprinting, badging and that false or misleading information in my application or interview may result in my disqualification.
