Rick Placeres was named Director of Operations in March 2023 after serving in numerous leadership roles including Director of Port Security and Security Manager. Placeres works closely with Port staff, tenants and federal and local law enforcement agencies to ensure safety and security at the Port.
The former Marine Sergeant has spent the last 40 years working in both the distribution and security industries. He's held several roles along his careers including Director of Distribution for Eden Manufacturing, Function Manager for Walgreens Distribution center and Security Manager for Sunstates Security Service.
Placeres holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of California. He is currently studying criminal justice at Palm Beach State College. Placeres is a proud father of three. His daughter Jessica is a teacher in New York, his other daughter Kassandra is a West Palm Beach Police Officer and his son Ricky is an entrepreneur in New Jersey. His pride and joy are his three beautiful grandchildren.
