The Port of Palm Beach District (Port) is advertising an Invitation to Bid from qualified and experienced firms to provide repair services to Slip No. 2 Trench Drain.
The bidding contractor must demonstrate experience in working within high-traffic areas, employing maintenance of traffic protocols, safety barriers, and maneuvering in confined spaces. The project entails the construction of heavy-duty concrete trench drain repairs, including mobilization and installation of site barricades and safety devices, saw cutting pavement and trench drains to facilitate partial demolition of existing structures as needed for repair; backfilling, compaction, and site preparation for new repair elements; forming, pouring, steel fabrication/installation, and reinforcement installation for new concrete in the designated trench drain section; concrete curing; reinstallation of trench grates; and site cleanup and demobilization.
Electronic procurement documents will be available on DemandStar (www.demandstar.com) on Friday, February 2, 2024 @ 5:00 P.M. EST. Interested firms should obtain a copy of the procurement documents directly from DemandStar.
The Port will hold a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on Thursday, February 8, 2024 @ 10:00 A.M. EST at One East 11th Street, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404, 6th Floor.
The deadline for electronic bid submittals is Friday, February 23, 2024, no later than 3:00 P.M. EST. Interested firms are required to submit a completed electronic response via DemandStar.
The Port shall use its best efforts to ensure that Minority/Women Businesses Enterprises have an equitable opportunity to participate in the Port’s procurement process. The Board has set a voluntary goal of 12% M/WBE participation in Port business. In order to qualify as a Minority/Woman Business Enterprise, the firm must be certified by any certifying governmental entity in Palm Beach County.
