Historic Vietnam Gunboat

Docks at Port of Palm Beach

PTF-26

The very last Vietnam-era fast patrol boat, PTF-26 / Liberty, made a stop Port of Palm Beach this month.

This historic vessel, once operated by the U.S. Navy, now serves as a training platform for cadet youth groups, including the seven groups supported by the Palm Beach Council of the Navy League of the United States.

PTF-26 will spend most of the year training Sea Scouts, Sea Cadets and NJROTC cadets from Kentucky and five neighboring states.
