Reflecting On The 9/11 Anniversary

9/11 graohic
Twenty-two years ago our world changed forever.
We will always remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the lives that were forever changed.
After the 9/11 attacks, seaport employees all over the country played a critical role in increasing port security.
The Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 required federal agencies, ports and vessel owners to implement stringent measures that bolstered surveillance, personnel training and cargo screening.  That meant the public could no longer view commerce in action.
The changes were made to ensure the safety and security of our nation’s gateways.
The Port of Palm Beach will continue making seaport security a top priority.
