[ARCHIVED] CEMEX finds creative way to raise awareness about manatees

Port of Palm Beach tenant Cemex, found a creative way to raise awareness about Florida's gentle giants. On June 27, 2023,  a group of supporters visitied the Port of Palm Beach to watch the company unveil its' $7M manatee-decorated cement unloader. The equipment will be used to unload CEMEX's cement from dry-bulk cargo vessels that dock at Port of Palm Beach. 

The manatee mural, painted on the 225-ton unloader, is dedicated to a local non-profit, Friends of Manatee Lagoon.

Port of Palm Beach Commissioner Blair Ciklin, Public Information Officer Yaremi Farinas and Port of Palm Beach interns Finance Bonheur and Alexandra Watson were amongst those who watched the unveiling.
