Join us in congratulating the following staff members on their promotion. 

Michael Williams is the Deputy Director of Finance and Capital Improvement. Williams was recently promoted to Chief Financial Officer.  In his new role, he will be overseeing the finance, accounting and engineering departments. 

Beatrice Greffin Pompey is the Deputy Director of Business Operations and Administration. She is responsible for managing the operations, human resources, clerk's office, administration, information technology and communications departments. Greffin nicknamed "Mrs. B", has been employed with the Port of Palm Beach since November 2010. She has held numerous leadership roles including Director of Human Resources and Administration and District Clerk. 

Rick Placeres is the new Director of Operations. Rick has been with the Port of Palm Beach since March 2014. He spent seven years serving as Port Security Manager. In September 2021, he was promoted to Director of Port Security. Rick will now oversee the operations, security, facilities and maintenance teams.

Tacaria Anderson Jones has been promoted to Director of Contract Compliance and Tenant Relations. Tacaria nicknamed “T” has spent the last 24 years developing and maintaining a positive relationship with port tenants. She will be reporting to the Executive Director Michael Meekins along with the two Deputy Directors Michael Williams and Beatrice Greffin.  In her new role, she will be working with the team in resolving tenants requests/ concerns working with customers on potential business opportunity, and assisting with negotiating lease contracts. Please feel free to reach out to her if you have any concerns.  

Keith Leggett has been assigned to the new role of Assistant Director of Operations. In his new position, Keith will assist Director of Operations Rick Placeres with managing and leading the operations, security management and the facilities/ maintenance departments.  

Lauren Williams is the Manager of Contract Compliance and Accounts Receivable. In her new role, she is overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable and monitoring contract compliance. Lauren has been with the Port for almost five years, during which time she has held the position of Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is Lauren's first managerial role at the Port.
