Palm Beach County Cares will host a press conference at the Port of Palm Beach on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, to discuss its countywide relief efforts for Puerto Rico. The non-partisan organization’s goal is to collect much-needed clothing and supplies for immediate shipment to Puerto Rico and assist with efforts pertaining to Puerto Rican refugees coming into Palm Beach County.
Supporters of Palm Beach County Cares include Port Commissioner Katherine M. Waldron, Congresswoman Lois Frankel, the Puerto Rican Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Palm Beach County, Keiser University’s Vice Chancellor Belinda Keiser, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, state representatives, mayors, county and city commissioners, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Palm Beach Day Academy, the School District of Palm Beach County, firefighters, and many more.
The press conference will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the Port’s Board Room, on the 6th floor of the Maritime Office Complex, located at 1 East 11th Street in Riviera Beach.
