The Port of Palm Beach proudly participated in Junior Achievement Inspire, an interactive event that introduced more than 2,000 middle school students to a wide range of career opportunities across Palm Beach County.
Representing the Port were Human Resources Manager Raquel Rivera and Special Projects Manager Aaron Hoffman, who showcased some of the unique and exciting jobs that keep our port operations running smoothly. Students had the chance to try out remote-control cranes and forklifts, giving them a hands-on look at the equipment used daily at the Port of Palm Beach. We also had a trivia game where students got to guess how many shipping containers fit in the Tropic Hope, which is one of the vessels that frequents the port.

Throughout the day, students asked great questions about maritime careers, port operations, engineering pathways, and more. Their excitement and curiosity were inspiring, and we were grateful for the opportunity to encourage them to dream big about their future careers. The Port of Palm Beach remains committed to supporting youth career exploration and helping build the next generation of our region’s workforce.
