On Thursday, October 15, 2015, the Port of Palm Beach Board of Commissioners congratulated Kuumba Payne for reaching a milestone in her port career. Ms. Payne has provided the port with 10 years of impeccable service. Over the years, Ms. Payne's dedication and drive have helped her rise the ranks to currently serve as a sergeant on the security staff, a lead supervisory role in the port's security division.
"I am proud to have Kuumba on my staff," explains Ken Hern, Senior Director of Port Operations & Security. "She is a valuable resource to my team, proving time and time again that quick thinking and clear communication are the lifelines to a successful operation."
Ms. Payne is a Florida native and resident of Riviera Beach. She is the mother of four boys, one of whom is in college; another who is starting the Police Academy in January.
The port congratulates and thanks her for her time on board.
