Business
Opportunities in Barbados
This island nation
imports 70 percent of its food, of which over a third
comes from the United States. Trade opportunities remain
for U.S. exporters of hotel and restaurant supplies,
construction material and specialty agriculture and
consumer products. Successful U.S. exporters to Barbados
have generally used a local agent/distributor and have
made a long-term commitment to exporting to the region.

Import Opportunities in Trinidad & Tobago
Trinidad & Tobago’s
human and natural resources, good investment climate,
stable democratic political system and strategic location
off the coast of South America are of interest to
investors. Although their market is small, the strong
political, economic and cultural ties with the United
States give U.S. goods and service a competitive
advantage, allowing them to dominate the market.
