Venice Howard joined the District in February 2017 as the Deputy Clerk and Records Manager. She has over fifteen years of experience working in the local government industry. She was the Executive Assistant/Advisory Board Liaison at the City of Delray Beach and the Deputy City Clerk at the City of West Palm Beach prior to beginning her employment at the Port of Palm Beach. Her role at the Port includes Clerk for the District, records management, filling the statutory requirements as Records Management Liaison Officer (RMLO) and Records Custodian, managing the agenda process and assisting with the general administration of the District office.
Venice earned her Certified Municipal Clerk Certification (CMC) from the Florida Institute of Municipal Clerks and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with majors in Management and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. She is a member of the Palm Beach County Municipal Clerks Association, the Florida Association of City Clerks and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
