Katherine is the newest Port Commissioner on the Port of Palm Beach Board.  She has been a long time resident of Palm Beach County since 2002.  She was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area and currently resides in West Palm Beach.

Katherine has been a successful businesswoman working in both large (Fortune 100) and small start-up companies.  She is currently a commercial and luxury real estate agent with the Valore Group in Palm Beach.  She received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and recently received her MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University.  

Katherine has been very active in the community and has participated as a Board or Committee member of various non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society, Palm Beach County Florence DeGeorge Boys and Girls Club and ElderHelp Services.  She also has volunteered for the local Palm Beach Preservation Foundation, the American Red Cross and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

She was appointed by the County Commissioners to the Citizens Committee on Airport Noise from 2008-2011.  In 2015, she was appointed by the West Palm Beach Mayor to the Parks and Recreation Board. She founded a downtown PAC (ACTION PAC); was appointed by the Mayor to lead volunteer efforts for the 2010 Coleman Park Revitalization project; and was president of her downtown condo Board, One City Plaza, from 2007-2011.  

She has three adult children:  Mary Kate, who resides in Connecticut and Joseph and Luke who reside in Washington D.C.
